Filippo Tommaso Marinetti and the Futurist Avant-garde in Trieste
Museo LETS, Letteratura Trieste, Spazio Forum, piazza Hortis 4
Organised by Comune di Trieste – Servizio Scuola, Educazione e Biblioteche
The exhibition celebrates the 150th anniversary of the birth of Filippo Tommaso Marinetti, founder of Futurism, and his connection with Trieste. In the Spazio Forum of the Museo LETS, at piazza Hortis 4, are displayed reproductions of original documents, periodical issues and artworks from the Biblioteca civica Attilio Hortis, the Musei comunali and other local institutions. The itinerary, curated by Alessandra Sirugo, reconstructs the season of the avant-gardes in the city through newspapers, posters and archival materials, with a documentary rather than celebratory approach.
