Photo exhibition "Terremoti e trasformazioni. Fotografia e scienza sul crinale del 1976 in Friuli"
Castello di Udine, Salone del Parlamento e Galleria d'Arte Antica, Udine
Fifty years after the 1976 earthquake, the Castle of Udine hosts an exhibition that intertwines photography and science to tell the story of the transformations of Friuli. The exhibition, set up in the Salone del Parlamento and in the halls of the Galleria d'Arte Antica, presents works by four contemporary photographers (Olivo Barbieri, Marina Caneve, Davide Degano and Giulia Iacolutti) alongside archival materials, in a journey that combines memory and a contemporary perspective. The project, realized by the Civici Musei di Udine with CRAF and CRS-OGS, explores the boundary between documentation and artistic interpretation, offering a reflection on how the territory and communities have changed after the earthquake.
Opening: Thursday, July 16, 2026. Open from July 17 to October 18, 2026. For information: Comune di Udine - www.comune.udine.it
