Forni Avoltri (UD)
Forni Avoltri commemorates the sixtieth anniversary of the 1966 flood with a widespread program of ceremonies, exhibitions and moments of reflection, scheduled between August 2026 and January 2027. The initiative, also supported by a regional contribution, involves several places in the town and aims to keep collective memory alive through storytelling and community participation. The heart of the commemorations falls on November 4, 2026, the date that recalls the most dramatic days: flower wreaths at symbolic sites, an extraordinary city council meeting, the screening of the video “Memories of November 4, 1966” and a parade through the streets of the town with the band “Federico Vidale”, which precede the Holy Mass in the church of San Lorenzo accompanied by the Choir of Forni Avoltri. Completing the journey, a photographic exhibition set up on the ground floor of the municipal building will remain open until Epiphany 2027. Alongside the official appointments, the program includes educational meetings, a conference on emergency management and a theatrical performance, offering multiple perspectives to retrace a tragedy that deeply marked the territory and its people.
Cinquantennale del sisma del 1976 – Eventi commemorativi
Tricesimo (UD)
The Municipality of Tricesimo organizes a series of commemorative events for the 50th anniversary of the 1976 Friuli earthquake. The initiatives will take place between September and October 2026 and will include the unveiling of a commemorative stele, a photographic exhibition, a meeting with representatives from Carinthia, a commemoration of a former deputy mayor, a concert, and a reenactment show at the Teatro Comunale. A digital infrastructure will also be created to tell the socio-economic and infrastructural transformation of Tricesimo from 1976 to today. The events are funded by a regional contribution of 30,000 euros.
European Mobility Week 2026

The Municipality of Trieste joins the European Mobility Week 2026, dedicated to the theme 'Mobility for All'. From 16 to 22 September 2026, numerous initiatives will take place to promote sustainable, accessible and inclusive mobility. The programme includes nature walks, exhibitions of historic vehicles, urban animation shows, educational meetings for schools, activities for children and families, and much more. Among the main events: the '10,000 steps of health' walk at Bosco del Farneto, the Historic Day in Piazza della Borsa, the Roller Day at Villa Revoltella and the Rampigada Santa hill climb.
50th Anniversary of the Friuli Earthquake
Castelnovo del Friuli (PN)
The Municipality of Castelnovo del Friuli celebrates the 50th anniversary of the 1976 Friuli earthquake with a program of commemorative events. On September 18 and 24, 2026, there will be the presentation of a comic book about the earthquake and a conference aimed at members of the Order of Architects and the general public.
