The Godia Potato Festival celebrates its 50th edition, a milestone that tells half a century of tradition and community in the Udine district. Over 200 volunteers of all ages enliven the square and the parish of San Giovanni Battista for two weekends, from August 27 to 30 and from September 3 to 6, 2026. The menu celebrates the potato in all its forms, from gnocchi to fritters, alongside other freshly prepared local specialties. Live music accompanies the evenings, while Sundays are enriched with moments dedicated to sports and religious tradition. An event that combines genuine flavors, entertainment, and neighborhood spirit, confirming itself as one of the most anticipated events of the Udine summer.

Food stalls open during the two weekends (August 27-30 and September 3-6). Live music every evening (see detailed program on the poster). Sunday, August 30: walk 'Tra Godie e la Tôr' (meeting at 9:00 AM at the Mazzini School Gym, Via Bariglaria). Sunday, September 6: Holy Mass at 10:30 AM in honor of the Patron Saint Anthony. From July 7 to November 22, 2026, the Museo Friulano di Storia Naturale in Udine reopens after 25 years with the exhibition “Trofei d’Oltremare. Una storia da riscrivere”, the third stage of the “Obiettivi Possibili” series. The exhibition invites a critical reinterpretation of Vittorio Tedesco Zammarano's collection: African animals, photographs, artifacts and archival documents become tools to question the colonial past. The itinerary revolves around three main themes: big game hunting as a symbol of imperial domination, the link between science and colonial economy, and the birth of museum institutions in occupied countries. Photo exhibition "Terremoti e trasformazioni. Fotografia e scienza sul crinale del 1976 in Friuli"

Fifty years after the 1976 earthquake, the Castle of Udine hosts an exhibition that intertwines photography and science to tell the story of the transformations of Friuli. The exhibition, set up in the Salone del Parlamento and in the halls of the Galleria d'Arte Antica, presents works by four contemporary photographers (Olivo Barbieri, Marina Caneve, Davide Degano and Giulia Iacolutti) alongside archival materials, in a journey that combines memory and a contemporary perspective. The project, realized by the Civici Musei di Udine with CRAF and CRS-OGS, explores the boundary between documentation and artistic interpretation, offering a reflection on how the territory and communities have changed after the earthquake.

Armonie in Città

Udine (UD)

The Armonie in Città series, organized by the Fondazione Luigi Bon and included in the UdinEstate 2026 program, brings five concerts to three symbolic locations in Udine. The events take place at the Loggia del Lionello, the Courtyard of Palazzo Morpurgo, and the Sala Valle, between late July and late August. It starts on July 21 at 7:00 PM in the Loggia with "Zohra", continues on July 28 at 6:30 PM with "Armonie d'Olanda" and on August 1 at 11:00 AM with the World Brass Ensemble. On August 11, the Courtyard of Palazzo Morpurgo hosts "Migrantes" at 8:30 PM, while on August 27 at 6:00 PM "L'ultima Fuga di Bach" is performed.

Third edition of the "Obiettivi Possibili" series, dedicated to the goals of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, with conferences, screenings and debates open to the public. Animazione Urbana 2026 – La Contea

The urban animation project "La Contea – Eventi 2026" offers three days of gathering and entertainment in Piazza Papa Giovanni XXIII in Cussignacco, a frazione of Udine. The dates are July 25, September 5 and September 19, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 1:00 AM. Each event features a DJ set, a gazebo area for food and drinks, and tables and benches for the audience. The initiative aims to enhance the square as a meeting and socializing point for the local community.
